Authorities said it happened around 5:15 a.m. on the 1300 block of Lindley Avenue.

The carjacker got out of a Ford Taurus and entered the victim's Ford Fusion, police said. He forced the victim to drive a short distance, ordered him out of the car, then shot at him when he fled, according to investigators.

The victim was not struck.

The thief in the Fusion and the accomplice in the Taurus then drove to North 11th and Wingohocking streets where they ditched the stolen car, authorities said.

They came back in the Taurus around 10:30 a.m., authorities said. The carjacker got in the Fusion and both cars left the area.

Police said the suspect was in his 20s, wearing a black hoodie that read  “TRUSTNO.1” on the back. The Taurus was silver with tinted windows and a Pennsylvania license plate.
